Dave Chen

Dave Chen is a Product Marketing Manager at Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, a leading provider of next-generation network solutions for the digital enterprise. Dave specializes in enterprise branch and remote solutions to secure #GenMobile, a type of tech-savvy employee who relies on their mobile devices for work and personal use. Over the course of his career, Dave has held a variety of positions encompassing product, sales, and enablement at Hewlett-Packard and Aruba Networks. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Political Science.

David Nuti is the Vice President of Business Development at Aryaka. He has over 20 years of experience driving market adoption of next-generation software and technology solutions. Prior to joining Aryaka, Dave has held senior sales and leadership roles with some of the leading cloud and SaaS, SDN, and ERP providers in the industry. 


Prakash Kota
VP, Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations
As Autodesk’s Vice president of Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations within the IT organization, Prakash Kota leads a large global team that sustains and optimizes Autodesk’s world-class infrastructure and enterprise operations. As Autodesk proceeds with it’s transformation into a subscription based company, his team builds, delivers and maintains the enterprise applications and underlying infrastructure utilized across the company that supports the acceleration of Autodesk’s evolution. Prakash has been with Autodesk for more than 10+ years and has held a number of positions within IT including, Director DevOps and Sr. Director of Enterprise Operations. He has provided valuable leadership in modernizing the traditional IT functions and has lead the journey for his teams into a service oriented organization.

Ron Sackman
Associate Technical Fellow, Network Security Architect
Ron Sackman is a Boeing Associate Technical Fellow in network architecture, cyber security, and network management. Ron is Principal Network Security Architect for Boeing Critical Systems Security in Silicon Valley. Ron’s primary areas of interest/expertise include design and implementation of network and cyber security operation centers and application of software defined networking (SDN) and cloud technologies to satellite ground systems. Ron has held technical leadership roles for numerous network & cyber programs for US government, commercial, and international customers and has been a key contributor to multiple competitive proposal wins in these areas. Ron holds an MSEE from UCLA and is a holder of multiple patents in networking & cyber technology with multiple patents pending. 


Justin G. Castillo
Head of Legal
Justin G. Castillo is Head of Legal at BT Americas, where he leads a team that supports BT in providing IT, cloud, security, cloud integration and network services to enterprise and government customers in over 170 countries. Before joining BT, Mr. Castillo represented enterprise customers in transactions for IT and network services at a boutique law firm in Washington, DC. Mr. Castillo is a graduate of Yale University and Georgetown University Law Center. 


Ofir Agasi

Ofir Agasi is Director of Product Marketing at Cato Networks with over 12 years of network security expertise in systems engineering, product management, and research and development. Prior to Cato Networks, Ofir was a product manager at Check Point Software Technologies, where he led mobile security, cloud security, remote access, and data protection product lines. 


Michael Thornton
IT Senior Manager, Telecom Expense Management Services
Michael Thornton is an IT Senior Manager in Cisco’s Global Infrastructure Services Organization. He currently leads the Telecom Expense Management Services (TEMS) team responsible for Order-Management, Billing, Auditing and Reporting on all Telecom Services Globally for Cisco. Mike has been a technical contributor and Manager in key areas of both Technology and Budget/Finance within Cisco’s Infrastructure Services group. Highlights includes managing the largest IT budget at Cisco; Leading Enterprise Storage and Hosting standardization initiatives; Managing several functional teams including Linux Platform Strategy, and Enterprise Email and Print Services. Mike began his career as an intern for IBM in New York City where he worked in both Sales and Contract Administration roles. His IT career includes consulting with several Fortune 100 companies including JP Morgan, Bank of America, Merck Pharmaceuticals, and even Cisco. Mike is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Finance and currently resides in San Jose, CA. He enjoys wines from around the world, and maintains a modest collection, mostly from California and France. 


Kumar Ramachandran
Kumar co-founded CloudGenix in March 2013 and currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding CloudGenix Kumar held leadership roles in Product Management and Marketing for the multi-billion dollar branch routing and WAN optimization businesses at Cisco. Prior to Cisco, he managed applications and infrastructure for large companies such as Citibank and Providian Financial. Kumar holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, and a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Bombay.


Ciaran Roche
Co-Founder & CTO
Ciaran Roche is the Co-Founder and CTO of Coevolve. Ciaran has worked in a range of technology strategy roles in Europe and the US, and has established Coevolve as a leader in driving enterprise adoption of next-generation technologies such as SD-WAN. Ciaran has over 16 years of experience in enterprise network architecture and management, with a specific focus on the use of Internet technologies in enterprise WANs. He led a number of teams at Vanco (later Reliance Globalcom / Global Cloud Xchange), responsible for technical solutions for its largest clients including a 1,200 site network for Avis Europe, a global VPN solution for British Airways and complex solutions for Siemens, SGS, Ernst & Young (now EY) and Pfizer. Ciaran also spent several years working in the enterprise networking practice of Pace Harmon, a boutique management consulting firm specializing in IT strategy and transformation projects for major global businesses. There he led the delivery of a number of significant projects for large clients including Molson Coors, Capital One Bank, CSC and several of the largest technology and media companies in the world. As the CTO of Coevolve, Ciaran leverages this experience that spans many technologies and geographies, to help enterprises drive new levels of efficiency in their environments. Ciaran has presented to, and worked with major enterprise CIOs, CFOs and CEOs around the world to deliver effective, high quality networking and cloud-based solutions. Ciaran is based in Chicago, Illinois. 


Brian Eichman

Cloud Ecosystem Manager, Brian Eichman is responsible for building communities of strategic cloud, network, and supporting service providers needed to enable high-performance hybrid-IT solutions. He has 15 years of experience ranging from product to engineering and IT system management. His areas of expertise include: cloud architecture and network topology, tactical planning and go-to-market strategy, thorough understanding of IT business drivers such as SDDC, business continuity and mobility, delivering business value through innovative technology solutions, and the end-to-end customer experience. 


Snehal Patel
Network Architect
Snehal Patel is a Network Architect and SD-WAN Subject Matter Expert at Gap Inc. He has presented on SD-WAN at several conferences. He leads the design and deployment of WAN architectures at Gap Inc.’s more than 3,000 stores, corporate offices and distribution centers. Snehal also participates in the architecture and designs Gap Inc.’s retail and e-commerce data centers. Snehal plays a key role in all the network-related POC at Gap Inc. He collaborates regularly with network vendors, business partners and the operations team. Snehal has been at Gap Inc. for more than four years. Recently, he has been at the forefront of Gap Inc.’s retail and corporate SD-WAN deployment with Viptela. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University with a specialization in Network Systems. Prior to joining Gap Inc., Snehal was a Network Operations engineer at Yahoo for about three years. Snehal regularly goes to meet-ups and tries to remain up-to-date on the latest technology trends, like SD WAN, data center SDN and cloud technologies. 


Chris Alberding

Chris Alberding is Senior Vice President, Product at Global Capacity. Chris has more than 25 years of experience in the high-tech, IT services and telecom industry sectors. He has held various senior executive positions in product management, sales and marketing, business planning and operations. Previously, Chris was Vice President, Product Management at FairPoint Communications. He was also Vice President, Product Management at EarthLink Business, Vice President, Product Management at DeltaCom, and Director, Product Development at ITC DeltaCom. Additionally, Chris has been a senior executive with AT&T and Hughes Space and Communications. He has a proven track record in organizational structure, process and discipline, as well as planning and executing strategic product visions across multiple sales channels, including, direct, indirect, inside and VAR teams. Chris has been successful in formulating go-to-market strategies and working with cross-functional teams while exceeding forecasts for growth products. He studied business management at the University of Texas at Austin. Chris is also a Junior Vice Commandant with the Marine Corps League and attended non-commissioned officer and leadership training with the United States Marine Corps. He currently resides in Waltham, MA.

Pascal serves as CTO and Advisory Director for MEF and is a former Principal at Microsoft Skype for Business Global Carrier Group. Pascal is a proven technology thought leader, sales evangelist, product manager and seasoned IP architect with decades of experience in internetworking, next-generation information systems, and communication architectures. As the founder of TSCM Technology he is focused on the building of cloud scale architectures and real-time media networks using Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO). As one of the leading industry experts in Unified Communication (UC) and SDN he is a UCStrategies Expert, pioneer of Unified Communications (UC) and Software Defined Networks (SDN), Chair of UC SDN Task Group at International Multimedia Telecommunication Consortium (IMTC), Vice-Chair of Open Network Foundation (ONF) NBI Working Group and Co-Founder and former Vice-Chair of Wi-Fi Alliance Task Group Mobile Multimedia Over Wi-Fi. Pascal has done five startups with multiple successes, has received numerous industry awards and has presented extensively in numerous events globally . Pascal holds 4 patents with 25 additional patents pending and has co-authored many standards in the IETF, MEF, IMTC and Broadband Forum (MPLS). 


Kaustubh Phanse
VP, Office of the CTO
Dr. Kaustubh Phanse brings 15+ years of technology and product innovation in the field of wireless mobile networks and cloud applications. He serves as the VP, Office of CTO at Mojo Networks. Since joining Mojo Networks in 2007, Kaustubh has made significant contributions across multiple functions, including R&D, product management, technical and product marketing, UI/UX design. Prior to joining Mojo Networks, he was Assistant Professor at Lulea University of Technology and Research Fellow at Uppsala University, both in Sweden. Kaustubh holds B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunications from University of Mumbai, India, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech 


Alastair Johnson
Principal Solution Architect
Alastair Johnson (AJ) is a principal solution architect with Nuage Networks, based in Mountain View, California. AJ’s focus is working directly with customers to introduce, explain, and expand technology based on Nudge Networks portfolio of products - solving customer problems through new, innovative WAN services for Enterprises and Service Providers targeting the Enterprise market. AJ was previously a senior product manager responsible for Alcatel-Lucent’s 7750 SR family of routers focusing on Internet related technologies, such as IPv6 and Internet Peering/Backbone. AJ has been with Alcatel-Lucent for 10 years in a variety of roles located around the world, primarily carrier customer focused in the IP/solutions space. 


Phillipe Lannes
Head of Business Development, North America
Philippe Lannes has been a leader in the Network Industry for B2B for 25 years. His career has given him a broad range of experience in network solutions. When in France, he’s been a key player in the France Telecom ATM and Frame Relay go-to-market strategies. After moving to the United States in the 2000’s, he has contributed to the implementation of MPLS solutions for Global One and Equant and initiated the network outsourcing business. Now as Head of Business Development at Orange, for the Connectivity Business Unit, and based in San Francisco, he is implementing the SDN/ NFV business strategy in North America. 


Bill Barney
A veteran of the telecommunications industry, Mr. Barney’s career spans more than 15 years in Asia and he was most recently honored with “Data Center Industry Achievement Award” at the Datacloud Asia Awards by Broadgroup, in recognition of his significant contribution to the Industry. Mr. Barney was appointed CEO of Reliance Communications in October 2016 in addition to his role as Chairman and CEO of Global Cloud Xchange (GCX). He previously served as CEO of Reliance Communications (Enterprise) since March 2015 to oversee the Enterprise, IDC and NLD (National Long Distance) businesses in India. Since January 2014, Mr. Barney has served as CEO of Reliance Globalcom, which later rebranded as GCX. Under his leadership, GCX has entered a new stage of growth and expansion with a successful debut in the international capital markets and the launch of the company’s next generation content and Cloud delivery platform across India and globally. Earlier Mr. Barney served as CEO of Pacnet for 10 years –leading the company’s successful acquisition of regional ISP, Pacific Internet, which operationally merged with Asia Netcom and re-launched as Pacnet in January 2008. Under his leadership, the company achieved industry-leading growth and won numerous accolades from industry and media organizations.

Dr. Shashidhar Merugu
Technical Director
Dr. Shashidhar Merugu is a Technical Director at Riverbed Technology responsible for the strategic vision and evolution of the enterprise WAN edge infrastructure to enable a software-defined WAN. As one of the early engineers, Dr. Merugu helped to bring an application-centric focus to Riverbed’s products by building many of the application performance optimization, visibility and control techniques. He is also credited with the invention of the industry’s first solution for WAN optimization of encrypted applications. Dr. Merugu is an inventor of multiple patents and an author of several publications that appear in peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology.


Phil Harris
GM, Service Provider Solutions
Phil Harris is Senior Vice President and General Manager, Service Provider Solutions at Riverbed Technology. Harris is responsible for helping shape Riverbed’s architectural approach to next-generation software-defined networking and leading Riverbed’s go-to-market approach with global service providers. Harris joins Riverbed from BMC Software, where he was Chief Technology Officer, responsible for business, technology and overall company growth transformation strategies. Before that, Harris was Chief Strategy Officer and VP of platform engineering and strategy at the virtual computing company, VCE. He also spent nearly 20 years at Cisco, as CTO of its cloud and virtualization technology group, CTO of its worldwide partner organization, and a consulting engineer as far back as 1993.


Steve Garson
Steve Garson is the president of SD-WAN Experts, an independent WAN consultancy, and author of the popular “Ask the WAN Expert” column in Network World. He brings more than a decade of experience helping global enterprises design, source, and implement wide area networks with all major SD-WAN providers, MPLS services, and telcos. His neutral methodology to WAN assessment and selection makes Steve the trusted advisor to enterprise IT. 


Derek Granath
VP, Product Marketing
Derek has more than 20 years of technology product marketing, product management and business development experience with a focus on high-performance enterprise and service provider networking systems. At Silver Peak, he leads product positioning and messaging for service provider and enterprise SD-WAN offerings. Before joining Silver Peak, Derek held a number of senior management positions in marketing and product management at networking companies including Extreme Networks, ConSentry Networks, Woven Systems, Brocade, and Cisco Systems via the Stratacom acquisition. Derek holds a BSEE from Stanford University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.


Ellaury Hernandez
Head of Product Management, Network, UCC & Security
Ellaury joined the Telefónica Group in 2005 as Network Planning Engineer at Telefónica Puerto Rico. Since 2014, he serves as Head of Product Management, Network, UCC and Security services acting as main liaison with the global factory to develop new services. He’s also part of the innovation programme, winning an award in 2015 for the development of WebRTC services. Ellaury has a Master in Science degree in Computer and Information Networks from University of Essex (UK) and holds Executive Certificates in Strategy/Innovation & Management/Leadership from MIT’s Sloan School of Management (USA).


Michael Bisaha
Manager, Data Science
Michael Bisaha is a research analyst with TeleGeography. His work includes market and pricing trend analyses in the wholesale and enterprise telecom space, with a focus on private line, IP transit, Ethernet, VPN, and local access services, and he is also involved in developing TeleGeography’s price
forecasting methodologies and other internal analytical tools. Michael’s geographic focus is centered on the US and European markets, though he also works regularly with clients of a more global scale. He manages TeleGeography’s research relationships with many major U.S. and European service providers, and is a regular participant at leading industry conferences. Michael holds a BA, cum laude, in Economics and Mathematics from Georgetown University in Washington DC.

Brianna completed her B.A. in International Studies and M.A. in International Communication at American University in Washington, DC.

Paul Brodsky

Senior Analyst Paul Brodsky joined TeleGeography in 2005 and has focused primarily on fiber infrastructure, IP networks, and international voice services. Paul has helped to develop and launch several new research services, including TeleGeography’s Global Internet Geography and Global Enterprise Networks research services. Paul works with European, African, and Middle Eastern providers, and has a thorough knowledge of industry participants and trends. He is a regular presenter and moderator at industry conferences, including PTC, ITW, and Capacity Africa. Paul is a Navy veteran and holds a B.S.E. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University.


Greg Bryan
Senior Manager, Enterprise Research
Senior Manager Greg Bryan joined TeleGeography in 2006 and has specialized in pricing and market analysis for the wholesale and enterprise long haul and network markets. While at TeleGeography, he has worked on designing, creating, and launching several new data products including the Enterprise Networks Pricing Service, IP Transit Pricing Database, Ethernet Pricing Service and Global Enterprise Networks. Most recently he has helped TeleGeography’s pricing practice move beyond the long haul network with the creation of the Local Access Pricing Service. Mr. Bryan’s primary focus is on networks and pricing for the Americas, however, he tracks and is familiar with global markets. He is a frequent presenter on the geography and pricing of submarine cables and enterprise networks, particularly at telecom conferences with a focus on the Americas. Mr. Bryan earned a B.A. in Political Science from American University, an M.A. in Geography from the University of Maryland, and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. He previously taught Geography as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University in Virginia.


Kevin Suitor
Kevin has over 35 years of network industry experience and the right strategic skill set to lead TELoIP’s marketing and alliance efforts in the exploding SD-WAN arena. Prior to TELoIP, Suitor served as VP of marketing, product management, and strategy & alliances with leading WAN Optimization technology vendor Exinda Networks. Earlier, Kevin helped develop market strategy for broadband wireless and WiMAX at Redline Communications (TSX:RDL), which earned recognition as the second fastest growing technology company in Canada by the Deloitte Canadian Technology Fast 50 Program in 2006. Previously, Suitor held senior roles with CopperCom, CTI Datacom, and Wandel & Goltermann, and founded DCI Digital Communications Inc. which was sold to Tekelec.


Jeremiah Ginn
Network Manager
Jeremiah Ginn is currently the Network Manager for Trinity Industries, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. He has more 20 years of experience in Information Technology. Like many, he has been researching and deploying Software Defined Networking for the benefit of his corporate environment. Jeremiah earned his Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bellevue University in Nebraska where he is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. Jeremiah has completed certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Aero Scout, and Symbol Technologies. Jeremiah has worked with NCR, NEC, Accenture, AT&T, IBM, and has consulted for many market leading organizations. He has served in roles spanning Business and IT Leadership, Network Engineering, Network Design, Network Operations, and Program Management. Jeremiah is proud to have served in the US Army.


Steve Woo
VP, Product & Co-Founder
Steve cofounded VeloCloud and leads product and marketing strategy. Prior, he led the cloud strategy at Aerohive Networks after it acquired Pareto Networks, a cloudbased networking innovator, where he was VP of Product Management. Steve also spent time as VP of Product Management at McAfee, where he led the development of a next generation firewall after McAfee acquired Secure Computing / Securify where he was VP of Products. Steve worked for Cisco Systems twice, after acquisitions of two companies where he was an executive (Riverhead Networks and Class Data Systems) that resulted in 50x return on investment to investors. Early in his career he worked at SynOptics Communications / Bay Networks where his product line generated $1.7 billion of cumulative revenue, and he also spent time at McKinsey & Company. Steve has an MBA and MSEE from Stanford, and a BSEE from Cornell. 


Dogu Narin
Senior Director, Product Management
Dogu leads the Product Management for Versa Networks, driving roadmap, strategy, pricing, partnerships and appliances for cutting edge for Versa. Dogu is a networking veteran with a proven track record of over 22 years of experience. Prior to Versa, most recently he served as the overall Product Management leader for Juniper Networks NFV and Cloud domains, responsible for Orchestration, vCPE/uCPE, SD-WAN, and other respective products and programs. During his 16 years of employment for JNPR, he led various domains and products, including Data Center, Security Services, Application and Subscription Aware Services for wireline and wireless markets, Network Edge Services including various SP Edge technologies and more. Prior to Juniper, he worked for Bay / Nortel Networks. Dogu holds Electrical Engineering – Electronics and Telecommunications B.Sc Degree from Istanbul Technical University and MBA Degree from Santa Clara University.


Chandro Prasad
VP, Product Management
Chandro is a VP, Product Management at Viptela, driving vision, product and execution strategy for Viptela’s Secure Extensible Network (SEN). Prior to that Chandro, was a Senior Director at Cisco where he lead Cisco’s Software Defined WAN (SD WAN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) solutions across the $4B Enterprise Routing platforms (ISRs). Throughout his product management career he has honed the art of capturing trends early to drive innovation and hold multiple patents in the areas of WAN, IoT, Internet & Cloud architectures. Chandro’s early career in software engineering and technical marketing roles provided the foundation upon which he developed deep expertise across global Enterprise, Service Providers, Cloud Solutions, Wireless/IoT and Network Services. Chandro has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from Bangalore University. An avid sports and animal lover, Chandro loves to spend time outdoors


Mike Frane
VP, Product Management
Mike Frane is VP Product Management at Windstream, with responsibility for the company’s SD-WAN strategy. Since joining the organization in 2008, he’s overseen the launch and lifecycle of products including LTE wireless, Ethernet and MPLS IPsec access elements, Secure WiFi & Analytics, Application Performance Optimization, IPsec VPN and Unified Communications services and led the company’s Portal and Hybrid Networking strategy. Most recently, Mike and his team launched EarthLink SD-WAN, their most significant such product introduction in over a decade. Mike has a BS in Genetics and Cellular Biology from the University of Minnesota and was involved in gene therapy research at the Institute of Human Genetics before entering the telecommunications industry as a business analyst for an investment firm based in the Pacific Northwest.
