He spent many years at AT&T as a Global Marketing Manager, National Account Manager, National Sales Manager and in the Consultant Liaison Program. Tim has experience in Core Infrastructure, Undersea infrastructure, Dark Fiber, Low Latency Connectivity, MPLS, VPLS and Trader Voice. Tim has served as Director at UBS providing sourcing support for the Telecom/Carrier arena and also as a Vice-President of Sales on behalf of the consortium of companies that owned the undersea Japan-US Cable Network.

Ciaran Roche is the Co-Founder and CTO of Coevolve. Ciaran has worked in a range of technology strategy roles in Europe and the US, and has established Coevolve as a leader in driving enterprise adoption of next-generation technologies such as SD-WAN. Ciaran has over 16 years of experience in enterprise network architecture and management, with a specific focus on the use of Internet technologies in enterprise WANs. He led a number of teams at Vanco (later Reliance Globalcom / Global Cloud Xchange), responsible for technical solutions for its largest clients including a 1,200 site network for Avis Europe, a global VPN solution for British Airways and complex solutions for Siemens, SGS, Ernst & Young (now EY) and Pfizer. Ciaran also spent several years working in the enterprise networking practice of Pace Harmon, a boutique management consulting firm specializing in IT strategy and transformation projects for major global businesses.

Leonard is the Director of Global Enterprise Network and Security Operations for Cotiviti. In his current role, Leonard is responsible for all security and connectivity in, out and between 25+ remote office locations, 4 inter-connected data centers, cloud services, and clients. Leonard has 20+ years of experience involving networking, security, infrastructure service delivery. He is very familiar with the varying and diverse nuances involving carrier services. Connectivity is mission critical to the organization and Leonard's challenge is to deliver sustainable, reliable and cost-efficient services, which is never easy. Prior to Cotiviti, Leonard was with Arcadian Networks, a smart-grid start-up that provided wireless broadband and IP converged networks over secure spectrum communications. Leonard has also spent many years consulting as a hands-on engineer, architect, and advisor of solutions to many organizations.
After joining Expereo 11 years ago and setting up the first international Expereo office in Singapore back in 2008, Sander now works out of the HQ in Amsterdam as the Chief Commercial Officer. His team is spread out globally across 5 offices. Before joining Expereo Sander worked out of Australia for BT Global Services and Infonet Services Corp. His telecom career started in 1997 with Unisource Business Services and AT&T Unisource in Europe. Nice to know fact: before Sander went into telecom he was a helicopter pilot.

Barry has over 18 years of experience in the networking and telecom industry, having held previous positions at MegaPath and Covad Communications. Rich Vidil is a telecom and software industry veteran of nearly 30 years. He began his career with Bell Laboratories in the 1980's, where he did pioneering development work in signal processing, computer telephony integration, and voice over IP. In the early 2000's he held various senior level engineering positions with UC startup uReach Technologies and 3Com. More recently, Rich led the nationwide Sales Engineering organization for CenturyLink. He joined GTT in September 2017 as VP of Sales Engineering. Rich has a B.S.E.E. from Penn State and an M.S.E.E. in Computer Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon.

Jonathan Eastern is currently Global Head of Network Engineering for the Marsh & McLennan Companies, responsible for design and engineering of the voice and data networks, remote access, and mobility platforms. Prior to MMC, Jonathan managed the Corporate Network Team at Bloomberg. Before that he held various positions at Morgan Stanley, most recently an Executive Director responsible for Network Production Management, including the Voice and Data Operations Centers. Jonathan received his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University, and his Masters of Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business.

Stan is a communications professional with 20+ years of experience in industry analysis, strategic marketing, and event programming. In 2013, he joined MEF, where he directs program development for MEF global networking events, manages press and analyst relations, and leads research initiatives to help accelerate MEF 3.0 adoption. Prior to MEF, Stan was a Senior Analyst at Heavy Reading, where he focused on Carrier Ethernet services and technology markets and SDN. He chaired ~20 major Light Reading events. Before Heavy Reading, Stan was Director of Market Intelligence at Ciena. Hubbard holds a B.S. in political science from TCU and a Master's in international diplomacy and security from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University.

Alastair Johnson (AJ) is a principal solution architect with Nuage Networks, based in Mountain View, California. AJ’s focus is working directly with customers to introduce, explain, and expand technology based on Nudge Networks portfolio of products - solving customer problems through new, innovative WAN services for Enterprises and Service Providers targeting the Enterprise market. AJ was previously a senior product manager responsible for Alcatel-Lucent’s 7750 SR family of routers focusing on Internet related technologies, such as IPv6 and Internet Peering/Backbone. AJ has been with Alcatel-Lucent for 10 years in a variety of roles located around the world, primarily carrier customer focused in the IP/solutions space.

Laurent Zimmerli studied at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. He graduated with an MSc ETH degree in Computer Science. His master's thesis about «Rating Autonomous Systems» won the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Internet Monitoring and Protection (ICIMP) in 2009. During his studies, he participated in a development program by Nouvelle Planète in Madagascar and worked at UBS Investment Bank in the area of IT risk management. After graduating, he joined Open Systems AG in 2008, where he joined the development team before taking on various functions in Professional Services and Customer Management as a Technical Account Manager, Key Account Manager and Vice President Customer Management. Arkadiy Gulko is a Principal Network Architect at Refinitiv. He has more than 20 years of in-depth experience in the network architecture, design, and implementation. Arkadiy, as the principal technologist, has been deeply involved in driving a vision, research and development to proactively approach network challenges and upcoming business requirements. Throughout his career, he has led on introducing various innovative technologies: he was one of the first operators to support native multicast and later MVPN services; he pioneered on commencing DWDM, IP/MPLS, AWS Hybrid Cloud, Telemetry Data Analytics solutions within his organization. In his current role, Arkadiy is responsible for transformation to orchestrated connectivity platform to develop and operate a modern, secure and fully automated set of Network Connectivity Services underpinned by Segment Routing and BIER Technology. He is a co-author and contributor to multiple IETF drafts.
A network veteran for over 20 years, Mr. Kaplan has spent his career making networks hum. Kaplan serves as Deputy CTO for Riverbed Technology where he provides real world operational experience to Engineering and Product Management and operational assistance to clients. Much of Kaplan’s time is spent researching technologies and trends, speaking at industry trade shows, and meeting with partners and clients to optimize business processes. With years under his belt as both a CISO (Verisign and Breakaway Solutions), as well as an executive for network services vendors (Guardent, Mazu Networks, norSEC and Riverbed), Mr. Kaplan is fluent in both the expectations placed upon practitioners today, as well as how to implement and run an effective operations center. His specialties include operationalization of application performance management and security management tools and processes. He explains complex technology with simple and realistic examples to deliver best practices that everybody can leverage for the betterment of their business.

Kevin Lau has more than 15 years’ experience as an IT professional in networks and IT infrastructure for multinational companies. He is currently a Solutions Manager at Singtel USA in the heart of Silicon Valley. Singtel is Asia’s leading communication group, which is headquartered in Singapore. In his current role, Kevin develops and reviews technical designs and architecture proposals with clients, in the areas of WAN and integrated infocomm solutions that covers voice and data infrastructure, SD-WAN, managed services and cloud computing.

Before joining TD Bank, Evan was the Network Service Manager for Credit Suisse in the Americas and before transitioning into the financial industry, worked for major global telecom providers MCI Worldcom / Verizon, AT&T, and BT for over 15 years.

Senior Manager Greg Bryan joined TeleGeography in 2006 and has specialized in pricing and market analysis for the wholesale and enterprise long haul and network markets. While at TeleGeography, he has worked on designing, creating, and launching several new data products focused on wholesale and enterprise pricing as well as enterprise services. Mr. Bryan’s primary focus is on enterprise wide area networks including our benchmarking practice and serving as the chair for several of our WAN Summit conferences around the world. Mr. Bryan earned a B.A. in Political Science from American University, an M.A. in Geography from the University of Maryland, and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. He previously taught Geography as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University in Virginia.

Michael Bisaha is the Manager of Data Science with TeleGeography. His work includes market and pricing trend analyses in the wholesale and enterprise telecom space, with an additional focus on developing TeleGeography’s price forecasting methodologies and suite of analytical tools. He manages TeleGeography’s research relationships with many major U.S. and European service providers, and is a regular participant at leading industry conferences. Michael holds an MS in Data Science from Columbia University in New York, and a BA, cum laude, in Economics and Mathematics from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
Senior Analyst Paul Brodsky joined TeleGeography in 2005 and has focused primarily on fiber infrastructure, IP networks, and enterprise and cloud services. Paul has helped to develop and launch several new research services, including TeleGeography’s Global Internet Geography and Cloud and WAN Infrastructure research services. Paul works with European, African, and Middle Eastern providers, and has a thorough knowledge of industry participants and trends. He is a regular presenter and moderator at industry conferences, including ITW, Capacity Africa, and WAN Summit. Jim has 20 years of diverse experience. Prior to Telstra, Jim was President of Managed Services at Pacnet. He previously worked at Rackspace as Managing Director of Asia Pacific, where he oversaw the management, strategy and growth of the company’s Asia Pacific operations. He also served as Director of Financial Operations, and was instrumental in supporting the company’s IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to joining Rackspace, Jim was at Dell for nine years, most recently as Finance Controller for the Managed Service business, where he was responsible for the overall financial management and pricing structure of the company’s services division. Previously, Jim worked at Chase Manhattan Bank and Sei Corporation.

Louise Fouracre is the business development manager for Wide Area Networks at the leading independent communications infrastructure provider, Zayo Group, and has over twenty-years of telecom experience. During the tech boom in the late 90’s, Louise pioneered the way for women in technology by becoming the first female systems engineer hired by Redback Networks, a company acquired by Ericsson in 2006. She furthered her industry expertise at AT&T and Dell until her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found her own successful SaaS and IaaS company. Louise received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Master of International Management, and Master of Telecommunications degrees from the University of Denver.
