Michael Holocher-Ertl
Senior Product Manager (Cloud & IT Services)

Michael Holocher-Ertl is Senior Product Manager (Cloud & IT Services) at A1 Digital, where he is responsible to develop the SD-WAN Portfolio in the Operating Countries of A1 Group. Last he worked for Siemens Media & Technology and the US American media group Deluxe Entertainment as Product Line Manager. He was driving the development of innovative OTT video distribution solutions and the implementation of complex customer projects in USA, Middle East and Europe. In his career, Michael has always dealt with disruptive technologies and business models - always with the aim to simplify the lives of customers and consumers.

Marcel Koenig
Principal ICT Technology & Sourcing

Marcel Koenig is a founding member of Ancoma, a global professional services network for infrastructure engineering and sourcing. Prior joining Ancoma, Marcel has held over 15 years key positions in strategy, pricing and solutions consulting with major national and international telecom operators including Cable & Wireless (now Vodafone), Orange Business Services, BT Global Services and the Swisscom-Verizon Alliance. His major international projects included the implementation of hybrid networks, carrier gateways and the execution of large network benchmark and consolidation projects for multinational clients. A graduate of the University of Wales, Marcel holds a BSc degree in business administration and a MSc degree in information technology. Being a citizen of Switzerland, Marcel is a commissioner in public infrastructure. 


Ralf Wingartz
Group IT Network Manager

Ralf is an IT professional with 20 years + experience in the IT Infrastructure and MES of industrial enterprises. He has had a multifaceted career in IT, including IT-Manager Germany, IT-Manager Infrastructure & Operations Europe, Group IT-Network Manager. His past roles include industrial IT-security, Unified Communications based in Skype for Business, WAN and SD-WAN. He has a strong history of effectively leading teams and aligning the IT-Infrastructure in global enterprises. In his free time, Ralf enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling and enjoys sports.


Raphael Tsitrin
Regional Sales Director

Raphael Tsitrin has over 18 years expertise in the IT and telco sectors across EMEA. He is currently working for Aryaka Networks, a global leader in WAN transformation initiatives, to expand their business in continental Europe. Raphael’s experience, in both technology start-ups and market leading technology firms, demonstrates a successful history of helping IT professionals deliver their strategic objectives, focused on technology performance services.


Ivo Ivanov

Ivo A. Ivanov is Chief Operating Officer of the DE-CIX Group AG and also - as Chief Executive Officer of DE-CIX International - responsible for the global business activities of the Internet Exchange Operator. Ivo has more than 15 years’ of experience in the regulatory, legal and commercial Internet environment. Ivo joined DE-CIX in January 2007. In recent years, Ivo has been deeply involved in the establishment DE-CIX sites in Istanbul, Palermo, Madrid, Marseille, New York, Dallas, Dubai (UAE-IX powered by DE-CIX) as well as Mumbai (Mumbai IX powered by DE-CIX), and several DE-CIX consultancy projects in Africa, Asia and Europe.

Serge van Tuil
Director Workplace – Network & Security

Serge van Tuil joined DLL Group in 2015. He is global director for all workplaces, the global connectivity and security for all DLL’s offices in 35 countries, heading departments in both Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and Wayne, PA (United States). Prior to joining DLL, Serge worked for 7 years for Rabobank where he held several IT management positions in Customer Support, Application Development and IT Operations and headed several AGILE implementations.

Sander Barens 

After joining Expereo 11 years ago and setting up the first international Expereo office in Singapore back in 2008, Sander now works out of the HQ in Amsterdam as the Chief Commercial Officer. His team is spread out globally across 5 offices. Before joining Expereo Sander worked out of Australia for BT Global Services and Infonet Services Corp. His telecom career started in 1997 with Unisource Business Services and AT&T Unisource in Europe. Nice to know fact: before Sander went into telecom he was a helicopter pilot.


Adam Stockwell

Adam joined Globalinternet in October 2018 with over 30 Years of Sales Management and Business Development experience within the software and telecommunications industries, having worked across Asia, Eastern and Western Europe. Additionally, Adam brings significant domain expertise from having worked in both large organizations like IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Vodafone we well as having been involved in several successful start-ups like PeopleSoft, Cramer, and Eci. Most recently he worked at Microsoft where he led the teams responsible for developing Microsofts' strategic cloud computing within the Benelux market.


Daniel Bar-Lev
Director, Office of the CTO

As director in the MEF's Office of the CTO, Daniel is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of strategic MEF programs that are central to MEF's transformation to an agile-process oriented standards development organization. These innovative programs - including the MEF Software Developer Community, MEFnet global implementation platform, and MEF Reference Implementations - enable MEF's 210+ member companies to implement draft and published service orchestration and definitions work in code, and to make available standardized open APIs that accelerate the availability of highly agile, assured and orchestrated services for today's hyper-connected world. 


Dietmar Geiler
Head of Product Management & Presales

Dietmar has more than 20 years’ experience in the telco and service provider industry and played an integral role in founding the start-up "ngena", where he is heading the Product Management & Presales teams. Prior to ngena, he worked for over 15 years at Deutsche Telekom Group where he held several Senior Executive positions with broad responsibilities for Solution, Product and global Portfolio Management. Before Dietmar joined Deutsche Telekom Group he worked as a Technical Consultant, focusing on ramping up a new Telco in Germany. Dietmar holds a degree as graduate engineer of communications engineering. 


Hussein Khazaal
VP Marketing & Partnerships 

Hussein has served as Vice President, Marketing & Partnerships at Nuage Networks since January 2017. Prior to this role, Hussein was Sr. Director, Business Development – Partnerships, where he built Nuage Networks Technology Partner Program. Before joining Nuage Networks in 2014, Hussein served as Vice President, Operations & Customer Service at Ciinow, a cloud services start-up that was acquired by Google in 2014. Prior to that, Hussein was a Management Consultant at Alvarez & Marsala, a leading management consulting firm, where he delivered performance improvement, turnaround management and business advisory services to Fortune 1000 companies seeking to transform operations and grow their business.

Dirk Schuma
Northern Europe RSM

Dirk Schuma manages the Northern Europe region for Opengear, a leading provider of Out-Of Band Management Solutions which ensure organizations have resilient, secure, centralized access to their network devices whether in the datacentre or remote sites. Dirk has over 20 years IT experience which includes managing one of Europe's largest out-of-band management customers and has also been involved in building complex WLAN solutions for one of the world's largest embedded networking customers. Prior to Opengear, Dirk spent 9 years at Lantronix and before that with EMC, Legato Systems and Smart Storage Systems.


Patricia Bleiker
Technical Product Marketing Manager

Patricia is Technical Product Marketing Manager at Open Systems. She has over 5 years of experience in the managed network and security services field - coming from the technical side when working as security engineer, she evolved via technical account management and sales engineering to the more strategic position in product marketing. Patricia is based in Zurich and holds a MSc degree in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich and pursues currently the MAS degree at the Management Technology and Economics department of ETH Zurich. 


Jean Critcher McDonald
Head of Solution Consulting Europe

Jean Critcher has more than 20 years’ experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry. She was founder of several professional services startups in the late 1990s focused on consulting and executing technical innovation for global multinational companies.  She joined Orange Business Services in 1999 helping them to deploy their first VoIP and MPLS services to customers. At Orange, she has held several senior roles in product marketing and development and professional services managing the business and technical practice areas of Networking, Security and Application Performance Management (APM). Within Orange, Jean leads a team of professional services consultants based throughout Europe who consult and deliver Unified Comms-Collaboration, APM, Security and SDN/SD-WAN solutions for their global multinational customers. Over the last 2 years, her team has been driving the SDN/SDWAN journey transformation of Orange customers.


Markus Hochenbleicher
Principal Consultant

Markus has 20 years of experience in the fixed and mobile telecoms industry, advising telecom clients, operators, vendors and estate owners. Markus leads network projects that span strategic, technological, operational and commercial aspects and excels when understanding the complexities across all of those components. In the last years Markus worked on several transformative telecom projects, such as WAN sourcing for a major corporate, sourcing the Emergency Service Mobile Communications Programme at the Home Office and making Transport for London’s assets available for Connected London. Prior to joining PA, Markus received an MBA from HEC in Paris and was Product Manager for IP-VPNs at Vodafone Arcor in Germany.


Nick Greenway

Nick has 20 years’ experience in telecoms / networks advising on strategy, sourcing, technology and operations for telcos and enterprises. He has worked both for telco and advisory, currently leading PA Consulting’s Enterprise Network Sourcing proposition to support companies solve their connectivity challenges.

Ionut joined Silver Peak, the global SD-WAN leader, in August 2018 and covers the regions DACH & CEE. He brings a broad knowledge from working in Network Engineering, Cloud Technologies and SD-WAN and leverages his experiences for liberating enterprises from the limitations of conventional network approaches. Ionut owns the ability to translate technological advancements into useful business benefits, thanks to his experiences in the Telco Industry, such as Bcom, AT&T, Interoute/GTT and Software Industry with Oracle in the past.


Thomas Lentz
Solution Manager Innovative Services

Thomas is working for more than 18 Years in the ICT Business and since 4.5 Years with Singtel as Solution Manager. Specialised to innovative services for Global Enterprise business customers. During his career Thomas worked as Internet specialist, MPLS Solution Architect, SIP Specialist, Internal Trainer for new technology as well as presales consultant. The challenges Thomas covers these days are the local internet integration into corporate networks, hybrid routing approaches, Software defined WAN, Network Function Virtualisation, innovative network management and reporting as well as technical contract management.  


Steve McKeaveney
Director – Solutions Engineering

Steve joined Tata Communications in 2012 and has been instrumental in developing the go to market strategy for their SD-WAN and Hybrid WAN service offerings, helping global multinationals realise a more agile operation. He has recently taken responsibility for pre-sales solution architecture and technology development across the European region. He has worked across a diverse range functions within telecommunications, starting his careers as an electronics engineer in the Royal Air Force 30 years ago. Prior to joining Tata Communications, Steve worked for Reliance Communications, Vanco, Greenwich Technology Partners  and Madge Networks.


Greg Bryan
Senior Manager, Enterprise Research

Senior Manager Greg Bryan joined TeleGeography in 2006 and has specialized in pricing and market analysis for the wholesale and enterprise long haul and network markets. While at TeleGeography, he has worked on designing, creating, and launching several new data products focused on wholesale and enterprise pricing as well as enterprise services. Mr. Bryan’s primary focus is on enterprise wide area networks including our benchmarking practice and serving as the chair for several of our WAN Summit conferences around the world. Mr. Bryan earned a B.A. in Political Science from American University, an M.A. in Geography from the University of Maryland, and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. He previously taught Geography as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University in Virginia.

Rob Schult
Research Director

Robert Schult is a Research Director with TeleGeography. He manages the company’s wholesale and enterprise pricing research groups, and leads efforts benchmarking Enterprise WAN services and developing new research products. Over the past 13 years he has led research efforts and consulting projects worldwide and developed comprehensive knowledge of international infrastructure and service provider service portfolios. He has also moderated panels and presented TeleGeography data at numerous international telecom events. Robert holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelors of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. 


Elizabeth Thorne
Research Analyst

Elizabeth Thorne is a research analyst focusing on enterprise networks with Telegeography. Elizabeth’s work includes market analysis of corporate wide area networks and SD-WAN deployments for the WAN Manager Survey and managing the WAN Manager Digest. She helps organize the global WAN Summit series. Elizabeth earned a B.A. in International Studies at American University in Washington, D.C.


Aurelie Canales
Head of Product Management

Aurelie is passionate about the transformational power of technology and delivering world class customer experience. She heads Product Management at Telia Carrier, shaping the next generation of products & digital services, delivering winning propositions & offerings, cloud partnerships and network expansion globally with teams spread in 8 countries. Before joining Telia Carrier, Aurelie worked in Strategy, M&A, Technology leadership and Product development at BT, PwC Consulting, UPC, Orange/EE and Sky. Aurelie holds an MSc in Telecoms & Computer Sciences from Telecom Lille.


Anthony Hopewell
Head of Global Managed Network Services 

Anthony heads the teams of Managed Network Services Sales Specialists and Enterprise Solution Architects globally for Telstra. He is an experienced IT leader across multiple industries, having worked in financial, service provider, airline and government roles, with a wealth of experience in the telecommunications field. Anthony studied mechanical engineering at Loughborough University in the UK and holds professional certifications such as TOGAF and ITIL. In his personal time, he is an avid rugby fan and has represented the Hong Kong National A Team in international competitions.

Neil Miller

Neil Miller is the Solutions Engineering Manager for ThousandEyes in EMEA, ThousandEyes are the market leader in Network Intelligence. Joining in 2014 Neil worked to build the initial EMEA region as a Solutions Engineer focussing on the Enterprise Market. Neil is now building a high quality team of Solutions Engineers to enable ThousandEyes to better support its customers across the EMEA region as they grow. Neils primary focus is to ensure ThousandEyes customers are able to reduce their risks when moving towards Internet centric service delivery, enable WAN transformation and increase the depth of knowledge regarding User Experience. Neil has a BSc (hons) in Computer and Network Engineering, and over 10 years of Pre-Sales experience. 


Jeroen Tirion

Jeroen Tirion is inventor of the TiNC Works! network performance monitoring system, and CEO of the eponymous company. The system is based on experiences gained while working as a performance officer in the high-frequency trading business for IMC – one of the most successful market makers in the world. Prior to this performance-focused work, Jeroen worked as a network consultant for ING Bank and Postbank, introducing TCP/IP and Ethernet in a time when Token Ring and SNA were still prevalent in the banking industry. Jeroen studied Mining Engineering at Delft University but decided computers and (especially) networks were more interesting. TiNC Works! is device-agnostic and can be integrated with traditional device-level network monitoring systems to provide additional insights into the behaviour of the network. As traffic patterns are shifting with the wide adoption of the cloud, these insights become ever more important.

Stefan brings more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and datacoms industry to the table. He currently serves as a strategic client advisor at T-Systems Switzerland for all enterprise connectivity and collaboration as well as network security services.  Prior to his role with T-Systems, he worked at Nortel Networks in new product introduction, presales, and product line management, at Nexus Telecom as product marketing manager for performance management and billing mediation solutions, and at Huawei Switzerland running an IPsec verification project.  Stefan holds an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.


Nils Ullmann

Nils Ullmann is a Solution Architect for Zscaler helping global customers on their network transformation journey. In Zscaler he can bring together all the experience from growing up in the ISP industry, the Network Security space and finally building up a SD-WAN platform.
